Trump Declares Houthi Forces ‘Decimated’ as U.S. Intensifies Strikes in Red Sea

United States President, Donald Trump, has declared that Iran-backed Houthi militants have been severely weakened by ongoing U.S. military strikes, emphasizing that their capacity to disrupt shipping routes is being systematically dismantled.
In a strong statement posted on social media, Trump asserted that the Houthi forces have suffered significant losses in leadership and manpower due to relentless U.S. military action over the past two weeks.
“The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us. We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder,” Trump wrote.
He further claimed that the strikes are rapidly neutralizing the Houthis’ ability to threaten commercial and military vessels in the region. “Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed,” he added.
The former president made it clear that the attacks would persist until the Houthis ceased targeting U.S. ships, warning of even harsher consequences if they continued their aggression. “Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran,” Trump warned.
The statement comes amid escalating tensions in the Red Sea, where the Houthis, an Iran-aligned rebel group based in Yemen, have launched multiple attacks on commercial and naval vessels. The U.S. and its allies have responded with a series of airstrikes aimed at neutralizing the threat and safeguarding global maritime trade routes.
While Trump no longer holds office, his remarks reflect ongoing concerns within the U.S. about Iranian-backed militant activity in the Middle East. The Biden administration has also taken an aggressive stance against Houthi attacks, with the Pentagon confirming continued military operations to secure key shipping lanes.
