The Nigerian Federal Government has issued a cautionary travel advisory to its citizens.

The government strongly urges Nigerians to exercise heightened vigilance if they must travel to the UK during this period.

Ambassador Eche Abu-Obe, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, released an official statement advising Nigerians to adhere strictly to the guidelines set forth by UK authorities.

The statement emphasized the importance of avoiding political processions and rallies, which have been the focal points of unrest.

“The safety of our citizens is paramount,” Ambassador Abu-Obe said. “We urge all Nigerians in the UK or planning to travel there to remain cautious and stay informed about the latest developments.”

The advisory also encourages Nigerian nationals to maintain close contact with the Nigerian High Commission in the UK. For real-time updates and assistance, Nigerians can reach the High Commission via email at [hc@nigeriahc.org.uk](mailto:hc@nigeriahc.org.uk) or telephone at +44 207 839 1244.

While the current advisory is a precautionary measure, the statement assured that it is subject to continuous review based on the evolving situation.

The government remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad and will provide timely updates as necessary.
