Nightmare in Bronx, man stabbed in eye during apartment attack
Bronx, a 44-year-old man was violently attacked while attempting to enter his apartment on Wednesday, July 10, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
According to a report, the victim was approached by two men who attempted to follow him inside his residence near East 138th Street and Cypress Avenue.
“Sensing danger, he confronted the intruders and stepped outside, leading to a physical confrontation,” the report says.
During the ensuing struggle, one of the assailants wielded a sharp object, inflicting a severe stab wound to the victim’s right eye.
Emergency services quickly responded, and the injured man was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he is currently reported to be in stable condition.
