In a heart-pounding turn of events, a Friday afternoon police pursuit in Queens concluded with a thrilling crash involving an e-bike, resulting in the hospitalization and subsequent arrest of two daring teens.

According to a report, the incident unfolded around 4:05 p.m. when officers, responding to a 911 call reporting shots near P.S. 22 Thomas Jefferson school, found themselves entangled in a chase that ultimately took a dangerous turn.

The suspect, described as a gunman fleeing on a dark-colored two-wheeled vehicle, was spotted on an e-bike driven by a 16-year-old with a 14-year-old passenger. .

The attempt to apprehend the duo led to a high-speed chase through the streets of Murray Hill, with police lights flashing in pursuit.

The adrenaline-fueled pursuit took a shocking turn when the 16-year-old, navigating east on Franklin Ave. toward Bowne St., lost control and collided with a parked SUV. Video footage captured the 14-year-old passenger falling from the e-bike just before the impact, leaving the 16-year-old to crash into an unmarked police car.

Despite the chaos, the younger teen managed to flee on foot, prompting a swift pursuit by three determined officers.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, rushing both teens to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

The 16-year-old received treatment for head trauma, while the 14-year-old was attended to for cuts and scrapes to his hand.

“Later, the older teen was transferred to New York Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center,” said in a report.

Miraculously, both were reported to be in stable condition on Saturday.

Despite the initial report of shots fired near the elementary school, no evidence of a firearm was found on either teen. However, a subsequent search yielded a switchblade and narcotics in their possession, raising additional questions about the nature of the incident.

The plot thickened as law enforcement arrested both teens, charging them with a series of offenses, including criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, fleeing from officers in a motor vehicle, and criminal possession of a weapon.
