Inaugural Bronx Muslim Festival slated for October: Muslim community leaders
Muslim community leaders have slated the inaugural Bronx Muslim Festival for October, 2023.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Festival coordinator,
Sheikh Musa Drammeh.
According to the statement, the festival will be held on the Friday October 3, 2023.
Drammeh maintained that the festival is aimed at showcasing the beautiful diversity of Muslims and their exotic contemporary traditions, cultures, artistic, culinary, intellect, peacebuilding, as well as the immense contributions they have made to global civilization and in various fields of human ingenuity.
“The Bronx Muslim Festival is a joyous day full of exhibitions, entertainment, education and communal fellowships. Muslim entrepreneurs, artists, intellectuals, professionals, diplomats, religious leaders and celebrities, among others, are invited,” Drammeh said.
Government agencies, elected officials, businesses and nonprofits citywide are invited as festival resources for attendees.
The maiden festival shall be held on Unionport Road between Westchester and McGraw Avenues in Parkchester on Friday, October 20, 2023, 10 AM to 6 PM.
It was also disclosed that the festival is free and first come first admitted basis.
“However vendors are responsible for bringing their tables, chairs, canopies and anything else that they would need.”
