Democratic super PAC Priorities USA has announced a strong move to canvas votes among Black and Latino voters for the Democratic candidate for the November 3 presidential election.

While disclosing this on Wednesday July 15, 2020, the group's chair, Guy Cecil, reiterated commitment to spending $24 million to help turn out Black and Latino voters for Joe Biden, who is leading President Donald Trump in national polls ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Cecil stated that support for Trump, a Republican, has suffered a seismic decline following his poor handling of the coronavirus pandemic and his response to nationwide protests against police brutality and racism.

With Biden leading in battleground states, Priorities USA projected that the former vice president will win the election.

“While the number certainly have been encouraging for Democrats, we are not done and we still have more work to do to maintain, to retain the gains that we’ve made,” Cecil said.

He added that it would be an independent campaign that will target minority voters with online ads.

Cecil stated further that the voters will be given information about how to vote by mail and links to websites where they can request mail-in ballots.
