US Election: Peter Thiel withdraws support for Trump, predicts Biden’s victory
Peter Thiel, US Tech billionaire, has withdrawn his support for Trump's reelection, following his strong conviction that President Trump will lose the presidential election slated for November 3, 2020.
Thiel, a trueblue supporter of Trump in 2016, predicted that President Trump might lose the presidential election.
He has been critical of the president's handling of the pandemic. He spoke at the 2016 Republican National Convention and donated $1.25 million that year to Trump's campaign and other pro-Trump groups.
According to him, Trump has slender chances to defeat the former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee.
It was reported that Thiel is likely to shift his financial support of Trump to House and Senate races.
However, Trump campaign spokesman, Tim Murtaugh, insists that Thiel remains a supporter of the president.
