SPECIAL INVITATION TO UNITED AFRICAN COALITION HOLIDAY PARTY DECEMBER 13, 2018
United African Coalition, (UNAC) invites you to join our special guests of honor at our annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 3368 Third Avenue, Bronx NY 10456. This has been a remarkable year for UNAC in light of its commitment and continued efforts to represent the collective interests of the African immigrants' community in New York and the United States. In pursuit of its core objective to be the voice of African immigrants in electoral politics, UNAC’s strategic role in the 2018 election cycle led to the victory of Charles Fall, a first-generation American of Guinean immigrants elected to NYS Assembly
UNAC is a non-profit political institution birthed in 2013 due to lack of a cohesive voice and representation of the over I million African immigrants living in New York City, a fact-based research termed “Taxation without Representation.” UNAC recognizes the urgent need for the African community to get involved in civic engagement and electoral process, thus it sets to educate and empower its constituents on issues such as Voters Rights, Participatory Budgeting, Knowing Your Rights, ID-NYC, Living in Sanctuary Cities etc. Most symbolically, the organization wanted to serve as a base for African immigrants who are interested in running for public office, to procure funding and resources, and mobilize manpower to help them compete and win.
UNAC’s past and present endorsements include, Assemblyman Michael Blake, Assemblyman Charles Fall, Letitia James, NYS Attorney General, Dr. Bola Omotosho, the first African immigrant to run for NYC Council, and His Excellency Ambassador Sidique Wai, Sierra Leone Ambassador to the United States, in his bid for NYC Public Advocate in 2013. UNAC is committed to working with people of all stripes and shared interests to achieve its goals.
We wish you and your family a safe and joyous holiday and we hope to see you on Thursday, December 13th. Please confirm your attendance by Monday, December 10th, to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Fatima Diallo, UNAC’s event coordinator at (646) 626 0080.
