Shall be holding a maiden annual 38 minutes of “Interfaith Moment of Silence and Prayers” during the National Night Out starting on August 6, 2019, in honor of Deputy Chief Steven Silks and Detective Joe Calabrese & friends who left us earlier in like manner.

Since officers are preoccupied with our problems and issues in the expense of theirs, we must not wait until it’s painfully late to be there for them. We therefore encourage all National Night Out organizers to include this 38 minute segment into their programming and schedule.

Let us tell Deputy Chief Steven Silks who left no children behind that has just became a new father to a large family who is so proud of his services and so much more in pain for his early surprised departure. Let us show Silks-Calabrese & friends their growing family and the loved ones they left behind, a family who only wished to have known what they were going through in time to be there with them to provide needed support for their personal struggles.

Since we lost that opportunity with Silks-Calabrese & friends, let us now make sure the angels serving in the force wouldn’t be left alone to manage personal struggles that would lead to similar fate. Thank you!

*1 minute of silent by all National Night Out attendees together and then a separate 37 minutes of prayers by a private Interfaith Prayer Warriors.  This 38 minutes would be dedicated to the years of service provided by our late Deputy Chief Silks.  We will invoke names of all fallen angels during the year during the prayers.
