Tragedy strikes Lower Manhattan as woman fatally shot in condo building

At Lower Manhattan community, a 57-year-old woman was tragically killed late last night after being shot in the face inside a condo building.

The fatal shooting occurred in the eighth-floor hallway of the Two Bridges building, located at 44 Market St., just after 11 p.m.

Authorities are actively investigating the case, as two suspects fled the scene following the shooting and remain at large as of early Tuesday. Law enforcement is diligently working to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.

The victim’s identity has been withheld at this time, as authorities are in the process of notifying her family members. The community awaits further information with heavy hearts, mourning the loss of a life in such a violent manner.

The Two Bridges building, where the tragic event took place, is a 12-story structure featuring 16 condo units, each with balconies offering views of the iconic Manhattan Bridge. Currently, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit within the building, complete with three balconies, is listed for sale at $1.38 million, highlighting the building’s appeal and prime location.
