NYPD unveils incentive, seeks public assistance to arrest robbery suspect
Three individuals are wanted for a robbery that occurred during a taxi ride from Harlem to Brooklyn.
According to a report, on July 10, a taxi operator picked up the suspects in front of 2059 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, Harlem, and drove them to 559 Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights area.
“Upon reaching their destination, the driver requested payment, only to be met with a terrifying display of violence. The suspects brandished a knife and forcefully took $300 from the unsuspecting victim,” the report says.
The brazen nature of the crime highlights the audacity and disregard for the law exhibited by these individuals.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) is urging anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the suspects to come forward. You can assist in this investigation by contacting NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
As an incentive for cooperation, a reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of these individuals.
Robberies such as these pose a serious threat to the safety and well-being of both taxi drivers and passengers.
The NYPD is committed to apprehending those responsible and ensuring justice is served. By working together as a community, we can help bring these criminals to justice and maintain the security of our neighborhoods.
