In a heart-wrenching incident at a Coney Island subway station, a candy vendor brazenly stole a cellphone from a visually impaired man last Friday afternoon.

The New York City Police Department has released video footage of the suspect and is appealing to the public for assistance.

The 58-year-old victim was standing on the platform at the Neptune Avenue F stop when the unexpected theft occurred.
