Man slashed in neck during brawl at Lower East Side bowling alley
Early Monday morning, a 21-year-old man was critically injured during a violent altercation at The Gutter bowling alley and bar on Essex Street near Broome Street, in New York’s Lower East Side.
Around 1:35 a.m., the victim became embroiled in a heated argument with at least three men inside the establishment. As the confrontation intensified, the group began assaulting him, delivering punches and kicks to his face and body.
During the struggle, one of the assailants brandished a sharp object and slashed the victim’s neck. Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured man to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Fortunately, his condition has since stabilized, and he is expected to be released later on Monday.
