Applications open for 2024 summer night lights baseball, Co-Ed softball leagues in NYC

This popular program offers free baseball and co-ed softball leagues, providing structured and engaging opportunities for young individuals aged 12 to 18.
Scheduled to commence on July 9th and running through the end of August, the Summer Night Lights games will take place at the historic Elston Gene Howard Field in the Bronx.
This iconic location, known as the original site of Yankee Stadium, will host league matches every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Summer Night Lights initiative is a collaborative effort involving the DYCD, the New York Yankees, the New York Police Department (NYPD) and their Blue Chips program, the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (NYC Parks), and SCAN-Harbor.
Together, these organizations are dedicated to providing young people with more than just athletic opportunities; the program aims to foster recreation, social responsibility, and healthy competition among participants.
