New York police arrest car snatcher, lunch manhunt for one other

Police in the New York City have arrested a car snatcher.

The police confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday, stating that it has launched a manhunt for the accomplice.

The police narrates that “At 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, a 46-year-old man inside his Audi Q5 in Morris Heights, Bronx, was approached by two women..

“The man exited his vehicle and the two women proceeded to enter it without permission, then took off.”

According to the police, shortly after, the women were operating the stolen vehicle in the vicinity of 435 Van Nest Avenue.

“When two patrol officers attempted to conduct a car stop for an equipment violation, they refused to stop and intentionally collided into the police vehicle, before fleeing,” the police unveiled.

“They abandoned the vehicle around 11 p.m.”

It was reported that one of the women was apprehended and charged on Sunday, June 11.

Police are still searching for the second suspect, 19-year-old Aaliyah Mitchell.
