NYS Attorney General files lawsuit against Sahadi’s impersonator
The New York State Attorney General Jennifer James has filed a lawsuit against Sahadi’s impersonator
Attorney James disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday February 1, 2023.
According to the statement, the lawsuit is aimed at “dissolving a fake corporation that impersonated Sahadi’s, a Brooklyn grocery store, and took $100,000 from the business”.
“We’re not going to let fraudsters take advantage of New Yorkers or small businesses,” AG James said in the statement.
“We have gotten reports of scammers using New Yorkers’ personal information to set up sham corporations.”
Law enforcement actions are taken by the Attorney General to protect the public good and to ensure a fair market place.
