Stranger attacks, rapes woman in New York City
A stranger has reportedly raped a woman in New York City.
The incident was confirmed by the New York Police Department (NYPD) on Friday.
“A 37-year-old woman was walking by the corner of W. 26th St. and Ninth Ave. about 11:30 p.m. Thursday when a man in his 20s sporting a large nose ring approached,” NYPD said.
It added, “The man lured the woman to a courtyard behind Manor Community Church on W. 26th St. where he raped her.
“Cops called to the scene found the woman bleeding from scratches to her back and mouth. Medics took her to Lenox Health Greenwich Village Hospital for treatment.”
According to the police department, her attacker is “believed to be 5-foot-4 with black curly hair and at the time of the attack was wearing black pants and a black shirt”.
