Missing British national found at Kiambu pub
A 22-year-old British national who reportedly went missing four days ago was on Friday found drinking at a local pub in Uthiru, Kiambu County.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the Brit, Nelson Newberry, had made new friends with whom he was making merry at Club Image where he was found.
“Detectives from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau and their counterparts from the DCI Operations branch stormed Club Image in Uthiru and found the young man sharing mugs of keg with local revellers,” the DCI said in a statement.
Newberry is said to have gone missing on Tuesday at around 11am and was last seen at the Sarit centre where he went to replace his SIM card.
His family then started circulating posters with his image announcing that he was missing, even prompting his father to fly to Kenya, however arriving on the same day he was found.
“Since then, Newberry disappeared sending his family and friends into panic. The young man has since been reunited with his father who had just jetted in from the U.K to the good news of his son being found,” added the statement.
The British citizen has since been taken to a local facility for medical attention.
