Nine people reported wounded in drive-by shooting in Newark
Nine people have been reported wounded in a drive-by mass shooting in Newark on Thursday evening, police said.
Cops said eight adults and one 17-year-old were struck by gunfire on Clinton Place, about two miles west of Newark Airport.
All the wounded people were hospitalized in stable condition. The victims are expected to survive.
No arrests have been made.
Police said a white Honda stolen from Jersey City drove up on the crowd outside a bodega and someone inside the vehicle opened fire.
Authorities did not speculate on a possible motive.
