Chaos erupts at Westwood Regional High School graduation, one person hospitalized
A night meant for celebration turned violent as several fights broke out during the Westwood Regional High School graduation ceremony in Bergen County on Thursday evening.
As the ceremony wound down, tensions flared, leading to physical altercations that left one person hospitalized and several others with minor injuries.
Washington Township police reported that while some individuals declined medical treatment, charges are pending against those involved in the brawl.

“This was supposed to be an enjoyable night that the Westwood High School Senior class worked hard for and have been waiting for, which has been tainted due to the egregious behavior by some,” police stated.
Footage of the chaotic scene shows two separate fights breaking out on the football field, with individuals rolling on the ground as others tried to intervene.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are aware of the videos circulating on social media.
