Bronx Borough prioritizes Education, cultural institutions 2023 budget
About fifty-nine per cent of the New York year 2023 has been allocated to education.
This was disclosed on Monday November 7, 2022, by the Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson.
According to Gibson, over $3 million was also allocated to cultural institutions.
“Our educational and cultural institutions help elevate our communities. For FY’23, I allocated 59% of our budget to education and over $3 million to our cultural institutions,” Gibson said.
She added, “The Bronx Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the United States, has been a leader in global conservation and providing recreational activities for our families and children to enjoy.
“That is why I was proud to allocate $500,000 to this educational facility!”
Gibson appreciated the amazing staff at The Bronx Zoo and Wildlife Conservation for their contribution to the community.
