African teenager, Muhammad Drammeh emerges winner of Crimeflash fiction contest
An African teenager, Muhammad Drammeh, has emerged the winner of CrimeFlash Fiction Contest 2022 organized by the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
Muhammad was announced the winner of the writing contest in a statement on Thursday June 9, 2022.
According to the statement, Muhammad is the first teenager to ever win the competition after competing with professional and experienced writers who also made submissions.
“The High School junior hopes to be a published author some day and recently decided it might be a good idea to get his work in front of authors and others who could offer constructive criticism. So he looked online for writing contests to enter and found one he liked, the CrimeFlash Fiction Contest organized by the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance,” the statement reads.
It adds, “Muhammad was announced the winner of the writing contest on Thursday; a great start to a successful journey as a writer.”
The winner of the contest receives a free registration for the Maine Crime Wave on Saturday, June 11 in Portland.
