Veneration of the Cross
Parishioners of St. Helena Catholic Church in the Bronx had the opportunity to venerate a piece of the True Cross on which Jesus died following each Mass on the parish's patronal feast The Exaltation of the Cross. The parish held a special celebration in the gymnasium on Sunday, Sept. 15, during which time the parishioners celebrated their patronal feast and welcomed the three new Piarist priests and four new Piarist seminarians who will be ministering this year at St. Helena.
