BRONX DISTRICT LEADERS NOT GIVEN OATH OF OFFICE AS PRESCRIBED BY ELECTORAL VOTE
Our Bronx NYS Assembly District Leaders are not officially sworn in the capacity to fulfill their duties as stated by the United States Constitution and NYS Public Officers Law.
An oath of office is an oath or affirmation taken by a person before undertaking the duties of an office. In other words, oath of office refers to a formal and standard oath taken by persons who enter into a public office through election or appointment. It is a statement swearing to perform certain duties, represent the office ethically or other promises made before one or more witnesses.
NYS Public Office states the following; Section 10 of the Public Officer’s Law requires every public officer to:
1. Take and file an oath or affirmation prior to the discharge of any of their official duties,
2. Act in their capacity as an officer for their established term,
3 Take and file an oath or affirmation at the beginning of each new term, if reappointed, and
4. Provide these oaths of office to the Office of the State
5.Comptroller if requested as part of an employee/independent contractor review
This action must be addressed. The mere interpretation by elected officials, in my opinion, is manipulated by the significance of controlling District Leaders as puppets and scrutinizing who votes within their perspective district and appointments of Poll Workers, Coordinators, and Inspectors. It's time for our duly elected Bronx District Leaders to be sworn in…
