President Joe Biden has lauded Vice President Kamala Harris for her “commanding and optimistic and putting Americans first” performance against former President Donald Trump.

“What the president saw directly for himself is he saw a commanding, optimistic performance from the leader who he’s been working with for the past three and a half years, side by side,” explained Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
