Mayor Eric Adams has proudly announced the much-anticipated return of the ‘Rise Up NYC’ summer concert series.

This summer, New Yorkers will be treated to 18 spectacular free outdoor concerts, bringing music and joy to every corner of the city. In collaboration with the City Parks Foundation SummerStage, this year’s concert series promises to be the most expansive and exciting yet, uniting New Yorkers through the power of music and community spirit.

Starting on July 14th, the ‘Rise Up NYC’ concert series will kick off with an electrifying performance by Common, Pete Rock, and other renowned artists at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn. From there, the series will traverse all five boroughs, providing free access to world-class music for residents at a time when rising costs have put a strain on many families.

“Once again, starting on July 14th, New Yorkers will gather together and partake in the music and culture that keeps our city moving,” exclaimed Mayor Adams.

“‘Rise Up NYC’ is a free concert series that fosters camaraderie among New Yorkers and brings enjoyment to our beloved city. Music and the arts are essential to our city, and this summer, we are going to amplify the experience and make sure we are giving residents of the five boroughs an all-star experience at no cost. We welcome all New Yorkers to join us in celebrating the vibrant energy of our city through the shared joy of music.”

Chief Advisor to the Mayor Ingrid Lewis Martin echoed this sentiment, “Our ‘Rise Up NYC’ concert series is back, offering free outdoor concerts in all five boroughs. As summer kicks into high gear, we invite all New Yorkers to bring their family and friends for fun nights and world-class entertainment in the city that never sleeps. Together we can Rise Up!”

The concert series, running from July 14th to August 25th, will feature performances by an array of talented artists, including past performers like Chrisette Michele, Maxi Priest, Mary Mary, Ja Rule, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, and Wyclef Jean, ensuring an unforgettable summer of music and unity.
