Columbia University student arrested for forcible sexual assault of classmate in shared building
A disturbing incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at a Morningside Drive building in New York, where a 30-year-old Columbia University graduate student, Francois Barre, allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old female classmate.
According to the Assistant District Attorney, Barre waited outside the building for the victim and offered to help her carry groceries upstairs.
Once inside, he forcibly kissed her on the back of the neck, rubbed his body against her, and groped her breasts and buttocks despite her attempts to push him away.
The victim immediately reported the incident to Columbia University
