Long Island: Man randomly slashes three at subway station
In a shocking incident on Saturday morning, a man went on a slashing spree at a Long Island City subway station, injuring three people in a seemingly random attack.
The violence erupted around 8:20 a.m. at the Queens Plaza E/M/R station, located at 43rd Avenue and 3rd Street.
The assailant, whose identity has not been disclosed, first attacked two individuals outside the station before moving inside and slashing a third person. According to police sources, the attacker did not know any of his victims.
Law enforcement swiftly apprehended the man and transported him to Elmhurst Hospital for a mental evaluation. The conditions of the victims remain unknown at this time.
