NYPD releases images of suspects in antisemitic assault in Williamsburg
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has released images of five suspects involved in an antisemitic assault that took place on the night of June 6 in Williamsburg.
The incident occurred at 11:45 p.m. when a 41-year-old victim was walking near Lorimer Street and Meserole Street.
The suspects, believed to be teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18, threw bottles and traffic cones at the victim while making antisemitic remarks, according to police reports.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
This disturbing attack highlights the ongoing issue of hate crimes in the city, prompting the NYPD to seek the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending those responsible.
