Elderly woman attacked in Bay Ridge, suspect sought after brutal assault
A peaceful stroll through Bay Ridge turned violent for a 72-year-old woman on Sunday afternoon when she was ambushed by an unknown assailant near 4th Avenue and 96th Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., leaving the elderly victim with severe injuries.
According to reports, the suspect approached the woman from behind and suddenly struck her in the back of the head, causing her to collapse onto the pavement. The forceful blow resulted in significant bleeding and swelling to her head, prompting immediate medical attention.
