In the early hours of April 13, gunfire shattered the night inside Amazura, a renowned concert hall and event space located in Jamaica, Queens.

The incident, occurring around 4:22 a.m., left two men injured and prompted a swift response from law enforcement.

Upon arrival at the scene at 91-12 144th Place, police discovered a man in his twenties suffering from a gunshot wound to his left leg. Additionally, a 56-year-old man had sustained a graze from a bullet on the right side of his head. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly transported both victims to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where they were admitted in stable condition.

The younger victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, has reportedly been uncooperative with investigators, complicating efforts to ascertain details about the incident. Meanwhile, authorities are actively pursuing leads and reviewing available surveillance footage to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the shooting.

Amazura, recognized as “NYC’s legendary concert hall and event space,” has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. However, the venue’s Instagram account continues to promote upcoming events, despite the recent disruption.
