Community people demand closure of Brooklyn bar after chaotic scene

In the early hours of Sunday morning, tragedy struck outside Catch 22, a bar located on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, when a 37-year-old man from Pennsylvania was fatally stabbed.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m., leaving the neighborhood in shock and prompting calls for action.

Police responded swiftly to the scene and found the victim suffering from a severe torso wound. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries during transport to NYU Langone Medical Center.

Concerns about the bar’s atmosphere were quickly voiced by local residents. One woman described Catch 22 as consistently tumultuous.

“The place is always crazy, always an argument outside,” she remarked, reflecting a sentiment shared by others in the community.
