Lifestyle Lifespan Campaign celebrates emergence of NCHE, urges NYorkers to embrace initiative

The Chairman, Board of Directors of a New York health initiative, Lifestyle Lifespan Campaign, Sheikh Musa Drammeh, has celebrated the emergence of a new center, National Center for Health Equity (NCHE).

While speaking about the center on Wednesday May 3, 2023, Drammeh stated that Lifestyle Lifespan campaign, is an initiative dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing preventable illnesses in the tristate community.

The director noted that “The birth of this child is a symbol of hope for the future of our community. It demonstrates the effectiveness of our campaign in promoting healthy living and reducing health disparities in New York.”

Also speaking about the initiative, Stephen Ditmore, a member of the Board of Directors, said, “The National Center for Health Equity is committed to improving the health and well-being of all New Yorkers, especially those in underserved communities. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, and our campaign is dedicated to making that a reality.”

According to Drammeh, the National Center for Health Equity was established in partnership with a science and health writer and a lawyer specializing in technology and national healthcare systems.

“Over the past year, the initiative has strengthened the healthy lifestyle campaign, enhanced the quality of life, increased longevity, saved taxpayers money, and helped narrow existing inequities in healthcare services,” Drammeh said.

He added, “The Lifestyle Lifespan campaign has already made significant contributions to health and wellness in the city and state. Mayor Eric Adams helped launch the New York Healthy Lifestyle campaign in 2020, and Senator Luis Sepulveda inaugurated his historic legislation making October Healthy Lifestyle Month in the state in 2022.”

The Catholic Church also adopted Healthy Lifestyle Month in 2023, and the campaign introduced the New York Healthy Lifestyle to the New York City Department of Education in 2019, the director stated.

The National Center for Health Equity is working with local elected officials to establish an innovative and inclusive Lifestyle Lifespan Center in the Bronx. The campaign believes that prevention through a healthy lifestyle saves lives, healthcare expenses, increases longevity, enhances the quality of life, and improves labor force productivity.

Membership to the Lifestyle Lifespan campaign is open to the public, and the campaign hopes to continue making a positive impact on the community by promoting healthy lifestyles and narrowing health disparities among New Yorkers.
