In a press release State Senator Alessandra Biaggi announced her support for the proposed men's shelter in her district at 2008 Westchester Avenue.

That leaves the question of why was Stare Senator Luis Sepulveda hosting a meeting about placing a men's shelter in the senate district next to his?

Luis Sepulveda has a close relationship with Mayor Bill de Blasio, and could that have been the readon Sepulveda is in favor of placing a men's shelter whrre the city is closing family cluster sites. The site is also in the part of Senator Biaggi's district where she lost with the highest margins.
