Monica Haque receives 2020 NRB Award
The Bronx-based President of SWCE Inc. and singer has been enlisted among the 2020 NRB awardees, which marked the 12th anniversary of NRB Taroka Award organized by Showtime Music.
The ceremony took place on November 22nd at Marriott in the city of New York.
In an interview with a Parkchester Times correspondent, Monica Haque said that the award is unique because it is the only award that genuinely recognizes
“This award means a lot to me because this is the only award that recognizes hardship of the person for their community in the city of NewYork,” Haque said.
Monica Haque further noted that her current and future plan was to be more actively involved in environmental issues that does not only affect her community, but also the world at large.
“Our earth is sick. we human need to heal the earth. we need to reduce the global warming by using less gasoline and/or recycling.” Do you need another global disaster? “no” so?
Save the earth now,” she said.
Haque is famous as a musician and modelling expert in New York for a long time, and she have been featured in numerous print and electronic media outlets.
Apart from Monica Haque who received this year’s award, other selected awardees were Shimul Khan, daughter of the most popular folk singer Dilruba Khan, Shah Nawaz and Choudhury S Hasan MD.
