Bronx, New York (7/30/2019) -- 43rd Precinct Inspector Benjamin Gurley was among the esteemed leaders honored by Mujumder Foundation and Bangladeshi American Community Council in Parkchester. It was a very dignified gathering with great food. Mr. Mujumder, who serves on the Bronx Community Board 9, spoke about the close relations that exist between his community and the 43rd Precinct. Mr. Benjamin Gurley, Commanding Officer of 43rd Precincint, was recently promoted to Inspector by NYPD Commissioner Mr. James O'Neil.

The Bangladeshi community in the Bronx, Parkchester section in particular, under the capable leadership of individuals like Muhammed Mujumder has been making a remarkable advancement in areas of education, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, economic development, homeownership, and law enforcement enrollment.

During the dinner, the Bangladeshi New York Police fraternal group spoke glowingly the prospect of having more Bangali officers on the greatest law enforcement force in the world. They currently have over 300 officers so far and growing.

The Bangladeshi community contribution is one of the most beautiful things that has happened in the Bronx in the last two decades. #mujumderfoundation #bacc #43precinct #ilovethebronx #parkchestertimes.Bangladeshi Officers in the NYPD was honored last night by Mujumder Foundation and BACC
